Gerald was employed by CP Rail as a machinist for 32 years until he retired in 2006. He was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a great love for family and friends. He was always willing to help out any family member or friend who needed help.
He had a large circle of friends wherever he went whether it was Arizona, Winnipeg or the cottage. He had a boisterous voice that you could hear long before you saw him.
Arizona became his winter dream of golfing 3 times a week. Golfing was his passion and he was always up for a game. With a hole in one in December 2016 and an eagle in February 2018. He enjoyed casting a shadow over his opponent’s golf ball just to mess up their putting and was given the name Sasquatch. He was also fortunate to find a good friend in Michael Berger who shared his passion for the game.
Travelling was always on his mind and he found great joy in planning a new adventure. With the internet at his fingers and all the books from CAA he could organize any trip. There was always something new on his bucket list.
