I knew Carol when she worked for the Manitoba Ombudsman. She would do investigations and audits under FIPPA. I was the the FIPPA Coordinator for Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation. For many years we communicated with each other. She was kind and had a real listening ear. She always provided excellent advice. She taught me how to record the decision making process regarding FIPPA requests and this was passed onto to those who replaced me when I retired. She just was an excellent person.
Apart from work I would bump into her at the K-Mart in Grand Forks and the St. James Walmart in Winnipeg and we would have long conversations. I will really miss her. Gordon Fadun
