RANDY HANNA (BOLLENBACH) 1959-2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Hanna on February 27th, 2022 at the age of 62 after a brief battle with cancer.
Randy was predeceased by his mother Laura and father Norman Bollenbach. He will be fondly remembered by his son Kaiden, his loving partner Dolores, step-daughter Emily and his little grandson Ezra whom he adored. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings Rod (Marie), Sandy (Blair), Cheryl (Richard) and Sheldon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Randy was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the East Kildonan area. He was employed for over 40 years driving transport for EJR Trucking Company. He was a very dedicated, hardworking employee who rarely missed a day of work.
He had a very deep passion for vintage cars and was proudly restoring a 1933 Ford Coupe. He was a jack of all trades and could build and fix almost anything. Whenever anyone needed a hand, Randy was always there to help. He was a perfectionist in everything he did.
Randy had a very quick wit and a great sense of humour. He could always brighten up a gathering with his presence. He left a lasting impact on many lives and will be deeply missed. We will carry your memory in our hearts forever.
As per Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of his life in the summer.
The Family would like to extend our thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital for the care and comfort that was given to Randy during his final days.
The angels gathered near your side
So very close to you
For they knew the pain and suffering
That you were going through
I thought about so many things
As I tightly held your hand
Oh, how I wished that you were strong
And happy once again.
But your eyes were looking homeward
To that place beyond the sky
Where Jesus held his outstretched arms
It was time to say good-bye.
I struggled with my selfish thoughts
For I wanted you to stay
So we could walk and talk again
Like we did...just yesterday.
But Jesus knew the answer
And I knew you loved him so
So I gave to you Life’s greatest gift
The gift of letting go.
